Half Dome Cables Passes

Half Dome Cables permits are awarded only by lottery on recreation.gov - there are no entry-point passes to browse or watch.

The Half Dome cables route climbs nearly 5,000 feet from Yosemite Valley to the park's most famous summit, and every day hiker on the cables needs a permit. There is nothing to book first-come-first-served: all 275 daily permits are awarded by lottery on recreation.gov, through a preseason lottery each March and a daily lottery two days before each hiking date. Permit Ranger tracks both application windows for your trip dates, with apply links, deadline reminders, and calendar events.

Lottery only - no passes to watch

Every Half Dome Cables permit is awarded by lottery, so there is no availability to poll and no passes to list here. Read the Half Dome Cables permit guide for how its lotteries work, then save a trip in Permit Ranger to get application-window reminders with apply links and calendar events.
